Sunset Moth Necklace, Butterfly Jewelry

I placed a real sunset moth wing between clear glass and hand soldered around the teardrop shape, leaving both sides visible so you can enjoy the incredible color and pattern from either direction. The wing shifts through orange, gold, green, turquoise and black... frankly, the moth did the hard part here. I kept the setting simple and let those colors have their moment. A striking piece for a moth lover, butterfly lover, nature lover or anyone drawn to unusual jewelry made from the beautiful things found in nature. Ethically sourced. Handmade in my home studio.

Artisan Handmade Process

My medium is the Tiffany-style stained glass technique, combining glass, gemstones, and other materials using the copper foil method. My metalwork features a blend of tin, silver, copper, and brass, all safe for sensitive skin. Instead of torch soldering, I use a soldering iron, which gives me more flexibility to create a diverse variety of organic designs.
