Faith Jewelry

Faith as small as a mustard seed can move mountains. I have had several requests to make a pendant with a mustard seed but every time I made one, I wasn't quite happy with it. I then came across these tiny glass bottles and just love it. The seed is permanently encased with silver/tin solder, hand-formed and the tiny bottles have a round bottom which allows the mustard seed to move about freely. A wonderful gift to remind and to offer.

Handcrafted Process

My medium is Stained Glass “Tiffany” technique. It is the method of applying copper foil, wire and solder to form my jewelry designs. Each piece is lovingly handmade in my studio here in Louisiana. The metal is applied with an iron as opposed to a torch which lends to an organic sense, both to the look and feel of each of my pieces. Please keep in mind that the photographed item is a representation of what you will receive. As with all handmade, no two are ever exactly alike. The solder is primarily tin with copper and silver. My work is metal sensitive friendly, no zinc, no nickel, no lead. I use the highest quality glass which does not scratch or yellow like resin. I got the earrings and the matching necklace, because if you have faith even as small as a mustard seed you can move mountains, of course. I'm so glad I got both. Such a beautiful piece of art! The way the mustard seed is captured in the tiny glass bottle doesn't detract from the original meaning of the mustard seed. Matthew 12:20 is one of my wife's favorite bible verses and I can't wait to see her reaction when I give it to her.
