Blue Agate Doublet Oval Pendant Necklace

Another blue agate...because apparently I know when not to argue with a good thing. This oval doublet has that beautiful bright blue with soft white areas floating through it that remind me of clouds. I hand soldered the stone, then formed the open bail above it by hand with curved lines and little soldered details that make the setting almost as interesting as the agate. It's definitely one of those pieces where the stone gave me an idea and I just kept going. Handmade in my home studio.

Artisan Handmade Process

My medium is the Tiffany-style stained glass technique, combining glass, gemstones, and other materials using the copper foil method. My metalwork features a blend of tin, silver, copper, and brass, all safe for sensitive skin. Instead of torch soldering, I use a soldering iron, which gives me more flexibility to create a diverse variety of organic designs.
