Hand Formed Crescent Moon with Blue Labradorite

I formed this crescent moon by hand and gave the surface plenty of texture rather than trying to make it perfectly smooth. Hanging from the tip is a slender teardrop of natural labradorite with a beautiful electric blue flash that shows itself as the stone moves through the light. The moon is hand soldered in a silver finish, and the dangling stone adds just enough movement to make that blue difficult to ignore. A little celestial, a little earthy and definitely not a cookie cutter moon necklace. Handmade in my home studio.

Bayou Glass Arts™... I figured the moon could use a little blue.

From inception to completion, each piece of jewelry is handmade by me with care in my home studio in Louisiana, USA.

I take special care with packaging to ensure your jewelry arrives safely.

Artisan Handmade Process

My medium is the Tiffany-style stained glass technique, combining glass, gemstones, and other materials using the copper foil method. My metalwork features a blend of tin, silver, copper, and brass, all safe for sensitive skin. Instead of torch soldering, I use a soldering iron, which gives me more flexibility to create a diverse variety of organic designs.

Feel free to reach out if you have any questions. I’m happy to help! Thank you so much for considering my work. ~Contina
