Handmade Floral Wax Seal Pendant Necklace

This one's a little different from my usual glass work. I hand formed a round copper wire frame, melted tin solder inside it, then pressed a floral wax seal into the metal to create the design. I added just a touch of gold metal paint to the center of the flower for a little contrast. I really like the slightly imperfect, almost old coin look the process gives it...and there's something satisfying about basically melting metal and seeing what comes out of it. Handmade in my home studio.

Artisan Handmade Process

My medium is the Tiffany-style stained glass technique, combining glass, gemstones, and other materials using the copper foil method. My metalwork features a blend of tin, silver, copper, and brass, all safe for sensitive skin. Instead of torch soldering, I use a soldering iron, which gives me more flexibility to create a diverse variety of organic designs.
