Earthy Jasper Teardrop Pendant Necklace

I'm not completely certain of the variety of jasper in this one, but I couldn't pass up that pattern. It has layers of olive green, warm brown, cream and taupe running through the long teardrop, giving it a wonderfully earthy autumn look. I hand soldered the stone in a simple silver finish and added a faceted gold hematite metallic bead above it for just a touch of contrast. The colors are quiet and natural, but that sweeping cream band through the middle makes the stone anything but ordinary. Handmade in my home studio.

Artisan Handmade Process

My medium is the Tiffany-style stained glass technique, combining glass, gemstones, and other materials using the copper foil method. My metalwork features a blend of tin, silver, copper, and brass, all safe for sensitive skin. Instead of torch soldering, I use a soldering iron, which gives me more flexibility to create a diverse variety of organic designs.
