Earth Tone Jasper Necklace with Hand Soldered Metalwork

I believe this beauty is a type of jasper, although I can't tell you exactly which variety. What I can tell you is that I loved those layers of rusty red, warm golden yellow and soft cream. They remind me of a desert landscape at sunset. I hand soldered the oval stone and added a decorative metal cap with raised, overlapping details, giving the setting a little personality of its own. The earthy colors and unusual metalwork make this a lovely statement piece for someone who enjoys natural stone jewelry, especially those warm autumn shades. Handmade in my home studio.

Artisan Handmade Process

My medium is the Tiffany-style stained glass technique, combining glass, gemstones, and other materials using the copper foil method. My metalwork features a blend of tin, silver, copper, and brass, all safe for sensitive skin. Instead of torch soldering, I use a soldering iron, which gives me more flexibility to create a diverse variety of organic designs.
