Handmade Labradorite Flower Pendant

I hand cut sheet copper creating a flower petal base and soldered it to build this large flower pendant housing a round labradorite center. The stone has that wonderful blue flash labradorite is known for, appearing and disappearing as the light moves across it. This is a substantial statement piece with plenty of handmade character... part flower, part gemstone, and definitely not shy. A beautiful choice for a gemstone lover, flower lover, gardener, or someone who likes jewelry that does not look like everybody else's. Handmade in my home studio.

Artisan Handmade Process

My medium is the Tiffany-style stained glass technique, combining glass, gemstones, and other materials using the copper foil method. My metalwork features a blend of tin, silver, copper, and brass, all safe for sensitive skin. Instead of torch soldering, I use a soldering iron, which gives me more flexibility to create a diverse variety of organic designs.
