Large Red Creek Jasper Statement Necklace

This is a big, beautiful piece of Red Creek jasper with muted greens, warm cream and those wonderful rusty red lines running every which way through the stone. I hand formed and soldered the cap with a few simple details, then gave the metal a gunmetal finish that works especially well with all those earthy colors. It's definitely a statement necklace, but the stone itself is what makes it interesting...there's something different to notice everywhere you look. Handmade in my home studio.

Artisan Handmade Process

My medium is the Tiffany-style stained glass technique, combining glass, gemstones, and other materials using the copper foil method. My metalwork features a blend of tin, silver, copper, and brass, all safe for sensitive skin. Instead of torch soldering, I use a soldering iron, which gives me more flexibility to create a diverse variety of organic designs.
