Large Blue Agate Doublet Statement Necklace

This one started with that gorgeous blue agate doublet in the center, but I definitely didn't stop there. I hand formed the large round frame around it, then soldered everything together with lots of texture and open spaces that let the blue stone sit right in the middle of all that metalwork. The agate has beautiful turquoise blue color with soft white markings that look like clouds floating across a summer sky. It's bold, a little artsy and definitely made for someone who doesn't mind their jewelry being noticed. Handmade in my home studio.

Artisan Handmade Process

My medium is the Tiffany-style stained glass technique, combining glass, gemstones, and other materials using the copper foil method. My metalwork features a blend of tin, silver, copper, and brass, all safe for sensitive skin. Instead of torch soldering, I use a soldering iron, which gives me more flexibility to create a diverse variety of organic designs.
