Inverted Teardrop Labradorite Pendant Necklace

I set this labradorite upside down from the usual teardrop shape, and I really like what that little change did to it. The stone is dark and smoky at first glance, but as it catches the light you'll see flashes of blue, gold and green hiding underneath. I hand soldered the setting with a simple silver finish and let the shape and natural flash of the stone do the rest. It's an easy piece to wear and a beautiful gift for someone who loves natural gemstone jewelry. Handmade in my home studio.

Artisan Handmade Process

My medium is the Tiffany-style stained glass technique, combining glass, gemstones, and other materials using the copper foil method. My metalwork features a blend of tin, silver, copper, and brass, all safe for sensitive skin. Instead of torch soldering, I use a soldering iron, which gives me more flexibility to create a diverse variety of organic designs.
