Natural Agate Druzy Gemstone Pendant

I chose this agate because there is an awful lot happening inside one stone...soft peach and pink, a wash of aqua green and that little sparkling druzy pocket right through the center. The back is copper, and I hand formed and soldered the setting around the stone, including the large open bail above it. It has color, sparkle and just enough oddness to make it interesting without being fussy. Handmade in my home studio.

Artisan Handmade Process

My medium is the Tiffany-style stained glass technique, combining glass, gemstones, and other materials using the copper foil method. My metalwork features a blend of tin, silver, copper, and brass, all safe for sensitive skin. Instead of torch soldering, I use a soldering iron, which gives me more flexibility to create a diverse variety of organic designs.
