Purple Flower and Green Leaf Glass Necklace

I wasn't able to positively identify this little purple flower, and rather than make something up, I'm perfectly happy letting it remain a mystery. I paired the real flower with a slender green leaf behind it, then placed both between clear oval glass and hand soldered the setting in a silver finish. The leaf gives the purple bloom a wonderful bit of contrast and makes the whole thing look like a tiny botanical specimen under glass. Handmade in my home studio.

Artisan Handmade Process

My medium is the Tiffany-style stained glass technique, combining glass, gemstones, and other materials using the copper foil method. My metalwork features a blend of tin, silver, copper, and brass, all safe for sensitive skin. Instead of torch soldering, I use a soldering iron, which gives me more flexibility to create a diverse variety of organic designs.
