I made this agate doublet brooch to look like a little storm cloud, complete with raindrops. The blue and white pattern in the stone reminded me of a sky about to rain, so I added silver chains with clear glass drops to carry it through. It’s one of those pieces that’s both playful and just a little dramatic, depending on how you wear it.

Artisan Handmade Process

My medium is the Tiffany-style stained glass technique, combining glass, gemstones, and other materials using the copper foil method. My metalwork features a blend of tin, silver, copper, and brass, all safe for sensitive skin. Instead of torch soldering, I use a soldering iron, which gives me more flexibility to create a diverse variety of organic designs.
