Here I’ve made a pendant from a single piece of petrified palm wood, polished smooth and framed in a silver finish. The grain patterns look like wood frozen in stone, a mix of cream and deep brown that almost feels alive, a bit like flames. It’s one of a kind and has that calm, grounded feel I love. Simple, natural, and easy to wear with anything. Handmade in my home studio in Louisiana. Bayou Glass Arts, where handmade means there is solder on my shoes.

Artisan Handmade Process

My medium is the Tiffany-style stained glass technique, combining glass, gemstones, and other materials using the copper foil method. My metalwork features a blend of tin, silver, copper, and brass, all safe for sensitive skin. Instead of torch soldering, I use a soldering iron, which gives me more flexibility to create a diverse variety of organic designs.
