Blue Agate Heart Necklace with Hand Formed Frame

I set this blue agate doublet heart inside a frame I formed and soldered completely by hand, building the curves and little details around the stone as I went. The agate has that wonderful blue and cloudy white pattern I keep falling for, but this time I wanted the metalwork to be a bigger part of the piece too. It's a little more detailed, a little more unusual and still has that beautiful blue heart right in the center of everything. Handmade in my home studio.

Artisan Handmade Process

My medium is the Tiffany-style stained glass technique, combining glass, gemstones, and other materials using the copper foil method. My metalwork features a blend of tin, silver, copper, and brass, all safe for sensitive skin. Instead of torch soldering, I use a soldering iron, which gives me more flexibility to create a diverse variety of organic designs.
