Handmade Dragonfly Necklace with Herkimer Diamond

Here I've made a dragonfly pendant and added a natural Herkimer diamond drop underneath for a little movement and sparkle. Dragonflies have come to represent all sorts of things...change, transformation, resilience, new beginnings, even reminders of someone we love. I think that's part of what makes them so special. You don't really have to decide what a dragonfly means for someone else. This one's hand formed and hand soldered, with the little Herkimer  swinging freely beneath it. Handmade in my home studio.

Artisan Handmade Process

My medium is the Tiffany-style stained glass technique, combining glass, gemstones, and other materials using the copper foil method. My metalwork features a blend of tin, silver, copper, and brass, all safe for sensitive skin. Instead of torch soldering, I use a soldering iron, which gives me more flexibility to create a diverse variety of organic designs.
