Long Earth Tone Gemstone Dangle Earrings

I loved the patterns in these stones, especially the little speckles, cloudy white areas and all those earthy shades of green, gray and brown. I hand soldered each long tapered stone in a simple silver finish, keeping the settings narrow so the natural markings remain the focus. The two stones aren't identical, which is part of what I like about working with natural materials. They're a lovely pair for someone who enjoys unusual gemstones, earthy colors and earrings with a little length to them. Handmade in my home studio.

Artisan Handmade Process

My medium is the Tiffany-style stained glass technique, combining glass, gemstones, and other materials using the copper foil method. My metalwork features a blend of tin, silver, copper, and brass, all safe for sensitive skin. Instead of torch soldering, I use a soldering iron, which gives me more flexibility to create a diverse variety of organic designs.
