Dreamy Blue Agate Doublet Pendant Necklace

This blue agate doublet really does look like a little piece of sky. It has that wonderful dreamy blue with soft white patterns drifting through it like clouds. I soldered the open frame and bail by hand, then hand soldered the entire setting and finished it with a silver finish. I kept the metalwork open and a little unexpected so there's plenty to look at without taking anything away from that beautiful stone. It's one of those pieces that makes you stop and stare for a second... which I figure is a pretty good job for a necklace. Handmade in my home studio.

Artisan Handmade Process

My medium is the Tiffany-style stained glass technique, combining glass, gemstones, and other materials using the copper foil method. My metalwork features a blend of tin, silver, copper, and brass, all safe for sensitive skin. Instead of torch soldering, I use a soldering iron, which gives me more flexibility to create a diverse variety of organic designs.
