Here I have made a blue agate doublet pendant in a soft teardrop shape. The stone shows bright sky blue with creamy white swirls that look like clouds. I wrapped the edges in copper foil and soft soldered the setting in a bright silver finish. Smooth, sturdy, and polished by hand in my Louisiana studio.

Artisan Handmade Process

My medium is the Tiffany-style stained glass technique, combining glass, gemstones, and other materials using the copper foil method. My metalwork features a blend of tin, silver, copper, and brass, all safe for sensitive skin. Instead of torch soldering, I use a soldering iron, which gives me more flexibility to create a diverse variety of organic designs.
