Here I set a large oval marcasite gemstone into a simple setting with a gunmetal finish and added a ring at the top that lets the pendant move freely. Marcasite has that natural metallic shimmer that almost looks like scattered silver across the surface, and the patterns in this one remind me a little of moonlight on water. It is a longer pendant with a nice presence when worn, but still easy to pair with everyday clothes or dress up a little when you want something different. Handmade in my home studio.

Artisan Handmade Process

My medium is the Tiffany-style stained glass technique, combining glass, gemstones, and other materials using the copper foil method. My metalwork features a blend of tin, silver, copper, and brass, all safe for sensitive skin. Instead of torch soldering, I use a soldering iron, which gives me more flexibility to create a diverse variety of organic designs.
