Heart Shaped Eye of Shiva Shell Necklace

I love the little natural spiral in an Eye of Shiva shell, and shaping this one into a heart made it even better. That spiral is actually naturally formed and has been associated over the years with things like protection, good luck and renewal. I hand soldered the heart in a simple silver finish and added the large open circle above it. There’s something really lovely about a heart made from something nature had already made pretty interesting to begin with. Handmade in my home studio.

Artisan Handmade Process

My medium is the Tiffany-style stained glass technique, combining glass, gemstones, and other materials using the copper foil method. My metalwork features a blend of tin, silver, copper, and brass, all safe for sensitive skin. Instead of torch soldering, I use a soldering iron, which gives me more flexibility to create a diverse variety of organic designs.
