Shotgun Shell Pendant

One Of A Kind

Bayou Glass Arts™

I enjoy thrifting and often buy little boxes of this and that not knowing all the little whatnots in the box. When I finally went through one I’d picked up, I found the top of a 16 gauge shotgun shell tucked inside. Real brass, still solid, and I knew right away my metal could work with it. So I cleaned it up, gave it a second job, and turned it into something useful again. A little unexpected, a little clever, and usually good for a smile once folks realize what it used to be. Handmade in my home studio.

From inception to completion, each piece of jewelry is handmade by me with care in my home studio in Louisiana, USA.

I take special care with packaging to ensure your jewelry arrives safely.

Artisan Handmade Process

My medium is the Tiffany-style stained glass technique, combining glass, gemstones, and other materials using the copper foil method. My metalwork features a blend of tin, silver, copper, and brass, all safe for sensitive skin. Instead of torch soldering, I use a soldering iron, which gives me more flexibility to create a diverse variety of organic designs.

Feel free to reach out if you have any questions—I’m happy to help! Thank you so much for considering my work. ~Contina
