Magnifying Glass Necklace

Bayou Glass Arts™

Here I have made a magnifying glass pendant with an antique porcelain doll leg as the handle and a glossy black onyx heart at the top. I set the glass and fittings using copper foil and soft solder in a bright silver finish. It works like wearable readers for menus and fine print, then hangs as a quirky statement when you are not using it. Practical, a little odd, very fun. Chain included. Two available because...well... two legs.

From inception to completion, each piece of jewelry is handmade by me with care in my home studio in Louisiana, USA.

I take special care with packaging to ensure your jewelry arrives safely.

Artisan Handmade Process

My medium is the Tiffany-style stained glass technique, combining glass, gemstones, and other materials using the copper foil method. My metalwork features a blend of tin, silver, copper, and brass, all safe for sensitive skin. Instead of torch soldering, I use a soldering iron, which gives me more flexibility to create a diverse variety of organic designs.

Feel free to reach out if you have any questions—I’m happy to help! Thank you so much for considering my work. ~Contina
