Here I set a chunky piece of raw pyrite into a simple square setting with a gunmetal finish. Pyrite has that bold metallic sparkle that almost looks like broken shards of mirrors, and this one really catches the light. It does have a little heft to it because the stone itself has some weight, which gives the pendant a nice solid feel when worn. If you like jewelry that feels substantial and a little different from the usual, this one definitely fits the bill. Handmade in my home studio.

Artisan Handmade Process

My medium is the Tiffany-style stained glass technique, combining glass, gemstones, and other materials using the copper foil method. My metalwork features a blend of tin, silver, copper, and brass, all safe for sensitive skin. Instead of torch soldering, I use a soldering iron, which gives me more flexibility to create a diverse variety of organic designs.
