Magnifies the contents! I have taken a hand blown glass bauble and filled it with star sand from Okinawa Japan, black sand and a tiny starfish. Reminds me of Van Gogh's "Starry Night". They move freely inside and you can inspect the contents closer by looking through the back where they are magnified. Just a gentle shake and the encased items surface to the top. This was such a rare find…. As a young middle school American girl, I lived in Okinawa…. Now, I’m 67 and I get to have a little piece of Okinawa… their beach sand….How cool is that🪻….Contina’s is an artist who thinks outside of the box and her work is beautifully crafted… Along with this necklace, I purchased my daughter-in-law a birthday present which was a broken China piece necklace.
